On-Farm Animal Interaction Waiver & Release of Liability Holy Hooves Homestead provides opportunities for guests to interact with our friendly, domesticated farm animals for recreational and educational purposes. While we strive to provide a safe and enjoyable experience, all farm visits involve inherent risks. By entering the property and participating in any activity, you acknowledge and accept the following terms.

1. Animal Behavior All animals may behave unpredictably. Even gentle animals may nip, butt, jump, kick, or accidentally scratch or step on guests. You choose to pet, cuddle, snuggle, or interact with animals at your own risk. No outside treats are permitted unless explicitly approved by Holy Hooves Homestead.

2. Farm Property & Trip/Slip Hazards Guests acknowledge that farms contain natural and man-made hazards, including but not limited to: Uneven ground, rocks, roots, holes, mud, hay, loose gravel, and wet or slippery surfaces Farm fencing, gates, buckets, tools, equipment, and animal areas Low beams, uneven steps, barn edges, and other typical farm structures By participating, you assume all risk of slips, trips, falls, or injuries occurring on the premises.

3. Private Property Rules Holy Hooves Homestead is both a farm and a private residence. Guests must remain only in designated visitor areas, including the barn and animal interaction spaces. Guests may not enter sheds, coops, pastures, or gated areas without permission. Children must be supervised at all times by a parent or responsible adult.

4. Equipment & Machinery Guests may not touch, climb, sit on, or operate any machinery, tools, gates, tractors, mowers, or equipment on the property. Any damage caused by misuse may result in financial responsibility.

5. Biosecurity, Allergies & Hygiene Farm environments naturally include dust, hay, insects, dander, germs, and odors. Animals, even healthy ones, can carry bacteria or allergens. Handwashing or sanitizing after touching animals is strongly recommended.

6. Weather & Outdoor Conditions The barn is outdoors and exposed to natural weather (heat, cold, wind, rain, mud). Animal areas may contain droppings. We recommend wearing appropriate outdoor clothing and shoes that you do not mind getting dirty. There are no cancellations, refunds, or rescheduling due to rain or normal weather conditions.

7. Payment & Reservation Policy Payment confirms your visit time and acknowledges that you agree to all terms of this waiver. Visits are nonrefundable once booked, except in the rare event Holy Hooves Homestead must cancel for safety or animal-related reasons. Weather conditions such as light rain, mud, heat, or cold do not qualify for cancellation or refund. 8. Liability Release By participating, you voluntarily agree that: Holy Hooves Homestead, its owners, representatives, volunteers, and affiliates are not liable for any injury, accident, illness, allergic reaction, property damage, or loss arising from or related to your visit. You assume full responsibility for yourself, your children, your guests, and your personal belongings. You release Holy Hooves Homestead from all claims, whether caused by negligence or otherwise, to the fullest extent permitted by Virginia law.

9. Safety Awareness & On-Site Caution. Guests agree to remain alert and cautious while on the property.

Please note and respect the following safety reminders:
Watch your step and be mindful of muddy or uneven ground.
Be aware of sharp objects, cords, and tools that may be present.
Fences may be electrified or hot, do not touch them.
Use care when walking near animals, gates, and pens.
Watch where you walk and take your time when moving around the farm.

By entering the premises, you acknowledge that these normal farm conditions exist and accept responsibility for your own safety and awareness.
